Markov Chains and Modeling
The concept of mathematics is sometimes lost in the classroom, and students are unable to see how it is useful in real life, or how it will affect them in the future. It is important to always look for different examples of mathematics in the real world. In Linear Algebra, there is a topic called Markov Chains. Markov Chains determine settling points of a population over a period of time, given an initial population and a Transition matrix that defines how the population acts. This can be useful for businesses to determine how their business will be doing given a stable environment. Attached below is a PowerPoint presentation and a Worksheet if you want to learn more about Markov Chains and their uses in real life!
